BROWNIE POINTS: Laura Mercier’s new TLSP in Medium Deep

I bet everyone is wondering what’s the big commotion about Laura Mercier‘s new translucent powder. So Laura Mercier and Influenster has worked together and send me the powder complimentary for reviewing purposes. And to be honest, in the matter of wearing this product for only three days… this powder has become an all time favorite! If you are a fan of Laura Mercier’s loose setting powder in translucent and happen to be a woman of color, than your all your dreams is about to come true.
Now if you go to Sephora, the powder is said to:

  • lock in your makeup for long lasting wear
  • provide a matte finish with sheer coverage
  • reduce oil and shine all day
  • look great in photos by smoothing imperfections without cakiness and flashback

I decided to test out this product out on the go as I traveled with my sixth graders and team. We traveled for about 5 days in March visiting historical colleges and sites across the states. Within those 5 days, I tested out this powder for 3 days to see how the powder adjust on the skin in a variety of weather types. I will say that the powder went on smooth for every application. I would put my makeup on at around 7am and would not get to the hotel until about 10pm. I would say that the powder is VERY long lasting with minimal touch ups. It did provide a matte finish, but by the end of the day the areas around my nose and forehead were oily, which is typical seeing I have combo-oily skin. Um, I wouldn’t say the powder is “sheer“, but it is very light. The powder did reduce oil and shine for a couple if hours, just not all day!

As for appearance in photos (or even in general), this powder looked absolutely flawless. Throughout the day multiple women and even my students lol complimented me on my skin. When I took photos, my skin looked absolutely beautiful whether I used flash or not. The powder did a great job absorbing light and complimenting my skin tone, so I am in LOVE! Therefore, in my book — Laura Mercier’s TLSP in Medium Deep has earn its brownie points!
